Lauren Friese is the 25 year old founder of TalentEgg.ca, Canada’s online career hub for students and new grads looking for meaningful entry level careers.
Lauren launched TalentEgg based on her own experiences, graduating from Queen’s University in 2005 with a B.A. in Economics and no idea how to make a successful transition into the workforce.
She decided to pursue a graduate degree at the London School of Economics, in London, England, where she got the idea for TalentEgg.
After a year working as a consultant in London, Lauren returned to Canada to launch TalentEgg. The site now boasts over 150 employers and over 5,000 student and new-grad career seekers.
When Lauren was 15, she decided she was going to become an actress. In order to accelerate her ambitions to become a ‘famous, successful actress’, Lauren bought her own domain name, learned some basic HTML, and built a web community for young aspiring actors like herself.
